COACHING APPLICATIONS
Port Coquitlam Minor Lacrosse is now accepting coaches applications.
Application Deadlines:
Coaches must contact D.Washington (Coaching Co-ordinator) before January 10th of the current year to be considered as a rep coach. All other coaches need to contact no later than the March 8th.
All coaching clinics are covered by PCMLA. Coaches will be given all equipment and technical guidance by Derek Milani.
PCMLA Coaching Selection Process and Coaches Responsibilities
Selection: Coaches will be considered for a team based on their level of certification and experience. When more than 1 coach applies for any team then PCMLA will arrange for a coaches selection committee to interview and select the head coach.
Responsiblities: Coaches are responsible for directing and coaching the kids under their control in at least 1 practice per week and two games. Coaches must lead by example and show good sportsmanship and dedication and knowledge of the game. Coaches are responsible for selection of assists and a team manager. Coaches are also responsible for organizing extra events such as tournaments and cardiovascular training sessions.
